How to submit a secret from your cell phone

Important! If you submit a secret via your cell phone, you WILL receive a text message back. If your cell plan doesn't allow texting, this message will cost you money (usually around 15 cents). To submit a secret via your cell phone requires that you send it to an email address (the reasoning for this is explained below). Some phones do not allow you to enter alpha characters (a-z) or symbols (@, .) in the TO field for a text message. There are ways around this. If you phone doesn't allow you to send a message to an email address, you'll have to search to figure out how to get around that OR just use the website (SecretTweet.com). Instructions on how to submit a secret from the iPhone are mentioned at the bottom of the page.

Step 1: The "TO:" address is m@secrettweet.com.
Step 2: Enter your secret like a normal txt.
Step 3: Send the message. You will receive a response within an hour (if your carrier supports the technology SecretTweet uses to send txts -- most do).

Why not use a Short Code to allow us to submit Secrets? A Short Code (like Twitter's 40404) are expensive (the cheapest I've seen is $500/month). That's more than SecretTweet makes a month. A lot more. Unless some kind soul wants to donate the cash for a Short Code for everyone to use, you'll have to live with using the email address (m@secrettweet.com) or the site (SecretTweet.com).

I have an iPhone. How do I send a secret? In the "To:" field, enter 36245. This is the number for AT&T's SMS e-mail gateway ;)
In the BODY of your txt, type "m@secrettweet.com YOUR SECRET HERE."
That's the secrettweet mobile email address (m@secrettweet.com), followed by a single space, followed by your secret.
