Maybe if you need more moderators, you could develop some sort of crowdsourcing system so that they can get moderated more quickly. Visitors to the site can vote on unpublished secret tweets as to whether or not they’re appropriate to show up on the site, and if they get a certain number confirmed (maybe combined with a certain percentage of the votes being yes, say 50 yeses, and at least 80% yes), then it gets automatically posted.

I know that I posted something so long ago I can’t even remember what exactly it was, and it’s not even relevant anymore, but it still hasn’t been accepted/rejected yet.
